Just a little about myself: I grew up in Knoxville, TN and went to the University of Tennessee for my Bachelor's and Master's degrees. I moved to Raleigh, NC in 1998 and I taught at Millbrook Elementary Magnet School for 19 years. I have been very fortunate to have been teaching second grade the whole time. I love working with 7 and 8 year olds. They are becoming so independent, but still love coming to school and learning new things. I have taught 2nd grade at Conn Elementary for two year and I love the families here!
My favorite sports are football and hockey. My teams are the Carolina Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes. My boyfriend is from Pittsburgh so we are always a house divided when our teams play each other.
I do not have any children of my own, but I am working to be able to foster or adopt in the near future.

These are my 3 cats, Ollie, Josie and Dahlia.
My boyfriend Scott and I love hockey, but we support different teams. He loves the Pittsburgh Penguins (he's from near Pittsburgh) and I love our Carolina Hurricanes.
